How often should I have my chimney swept?

Regulations generally require one to two sweeps per year depending on the fuel type, with at least one during the heating season. For a pellet stove or boiler, annual servicing is recommended.

Is chimney sweeping really mandatory?

Yes. It is governed by local health regulations and required by insurance companies. In the event of a claim without a sweeping certificate, your insurer may refuse to compensate you.

How long does a visit take?

It depends on the appliance: allow around 45 minutes for a chimney, up to 1h15 for a pellet stove that requires a full clean.

Will you make a mess in my home?

No. I set up protective sheeting and use source-point extraction. No trace of soot is left behind.

Will I receive a certificate?

Yes, always. The sweeping certificate is handed to you in person at the end of the visit. It is valid for your home insurance.

How do I book an appointment?
